In March 2009 the independent schools of Ontario will be sending anywhere from 8-15 high school aged students to Kenya to experience a little bit of African life. This is a trip that is sure to be a life impacting experience that includes a chance to experience a unique culture and some amazing wild life.

Some of the high lights of this 2 week African expedition include:

·        3 incredible safaris with the opportunity to see the BIG FIVE (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros, and leopard)  wildlife.

·        A traditional Maasai school visit and involvement in a service project in the remote town of Marijo in Maasailand.

·        3 days of extraordinary hiking and camping with a local Maasai guide.

·        Experience a once in a lifetime traditional Maasai goat roast.

·        Shopping in Nairobi

·        Unforgettable farewell banquet.

 

Trip Itinerary

March 8 – Depart Toronto.

March 9 – Arrive in Nairobi and overnight.

 March 10 – Nairobi to Naro Moru including the Sweetwater Game Reserve

March 11 – Lake Nakuru National Park

March 12 – Elsamere Conservation Centre

March 13-17 - Maasai Land Service Project

March 18-19 – Maasai Mara Game Reserve

March 20 – Closing Ceremonies in Nairobi

March 21 – Depart Nairobi
